Human Resources Assistant

The Park Danforth has a rare and exciting opportunity to join the HR Department! 

We are looking for a superstar HR Assistant to join our team for 32-hours/week. This is a perfect role for any HR professional who wants to be a valuable contributor in a great organization; all while maintaining a flexible schedule and work-life balance.

Our HR Assistant will operate as a generalist performing a variety of HR and administrative functions under the direction of the HR Manager. The HR Assistant focuses on the administrative components of the everyday HR tasks and responsibilities for: recruiting and hiring/on-boarding, benefits administration, HRIS administration, compliance, communication, and performance management. This role is a key resource to employees for all administrative needs related to Human Resources.

This position requires a general understanding of the Human Resources Function including employment law and regulations. A minimum of 2-3 years of HR experience is preferred and preference will be given to candidates with working knowledge of Bangor Payroll systems and/or other Payroll/HRIS systems. 

In addition to an out-going, friendly personality and can-do attitude, the successful candidate will be a self-starter who possesses effective problem solving skills; has the ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner by gathering and analyzing information; is someone who works well independently; is organized and very detail oriented. Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence is required.

This position requires a commitment of 32 hours per week, however, days of the week and specific hours per day are flexible. We are looking for a start date of September 15.
