Grant Coordinator


The TLC Grant Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of grant and contract development and managing the lifecycle of grant and contract awards. The Grants Coordinator will work with the leadership team to identify opportunities, compile and submit applications, and report on progress to funders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TIME ON TASK EXPECTATIONS

GRANT DEVELOPMENT (45% of time)

• Research funding opportunities through federal, state, foundation, and other databases

• Develop relationships with foundations through meetings with Program Officers, participating in roundtables, and attending grant trainings

• Create and maintain a Grants Calendar with projected funding opportunities that align with TLC's funding needs

• Collaborate with the Executive Director to identify grants/RFPs/NOFAs to pursue

• Attend webinars, trainings, and meetings related to federal and state RFPs/NOFAs

• Collaborate with finance department and Program Directors to develop budgets

• Gather information and write the narrative portion of grants with input from directors

• Compile attachments and relevant documents needed to submit an application

• Compile complete applications with accuracy and attention to detail and submit on various platforms including Grants.gov

• Track grant submissions and report on progress to Executive Director

• Follow up on declined awards as part of quality improvement

GRANT MANAGEMENT (45% of time)

• Compile and submit documentation required for grant/contract awards

• Maintain Grant Report Calendar

• Review funding agreements contracts and create compliance monitoring tools

• Monitor and report on contract compliance to Executive Director on quarterly basis

• Collaborate and communicate with Administrative Team about data that will be needed for reports including financial documents, data fields from case management systems, and required forms

• Provide reports and documentation to funders using agency data from Apricot, RecoveryLink, input from Program Directors, Participant Surveys and other sources of information

MEETINGS/TRAININGS/SUPERVISION (10%)

• Participate in required trainings for TLC

• Participate in trainings, webinars, and conferences related to role and responsibilities

• Participate in required meetings for TLC

• Participate in supervision and self-evaluation

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years providing grant development and management

• 2+ years securing government funding through state and federal RFPs/NOFAs

• 2+ years working for a nonprofit, human services, or education organization

• Familiarity with on-line grant submission platforms and Grants.gov

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, writing sample required

• Proficient computer skills including: Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Reader

Job Title:  Grant Coordinator                  Hours:   .5 FTE (20 hours per week)

Department:  Administration                  Salary:  32.00-38.00 per hour

Supervisor:  Executive Director              Location:  20% in office, 80% remote
