Development Coordinator

The Development Coordinator is responsible for managing and implementing TLC Family Resource Center's strategic development plan to achieve annual fundraising goals. The Development Coordinator will plan and execute annual fundraising initiatives and events, a donor stewardship process, and friend raising activities with support from the Executive Director and the Development Committee to grow TLC's donor base, average gift size, and gift revenue.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TIME ON TASK EXPECTATIONS

FUNDRAISING (70% of time)

• Lead the development and execution of the fundraising strategy to meet annual goals set by the Executive Director and board

• Develop and implement activities to increase philanthropic contributions from individuals, corporations, charitable trusts, and family foundations to 15% of the annual budget

• Strategically expand TLC's donor base to diversify revenue streams

• Plan and execute a minimum of 4 fundraising events annually, including one signature event

• Facilitate all aspects of annual giving days including NHGives and Giving Tuesday to achieve targets

• Plan and execute the annual appeal

• Build sponsorship packages and solicit corporate engagement and sponsorships for TLC events

• Maintain updated information on various giving pages and charity platforms

• Promote brand recognition through consistent use of logo, tagline, and brand elements

• Research, identify and meet with potential funders including individuals, corporations, foundations, charitable trusts, and family foundations

• Participate in development roundtables, conferences, and networking events

• Support Executive Director with completing Letters of Intent and other fund application tasks

• Set up meet and greets for Executive Director and Board Members with prospective donors and funders


DONOR MANAGEMENT (20% of time)

• Build out segmented monthly donor communications using multiple platforms including newsletters, emails, press releases and social media based on donor type and giving level

• Develop donor acknowledgement materials including thank you letters, thank you videos, social media, and newsletter recognition

• Develop and implement donor retention and moves management strategies

• Create donor outreach and recognition activities

• Oversee development and publication/distribution of Annual Reports and other branded materials to update donors and stakeholders

• Use donor management system (DonorPerfect) to accurately track efforts to cultivate, acknowledge and communicate with current, past and prospective donors


MEETINGS/SUPERVISION/TRAINING (10%)

• Participate in agency required training, supervision and team meetings

• Participate in annual performance reviews


REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years in non-profit fund development

• Experience planning and executing successful fundraising events

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Proficient computer skills
